Slipped on the walk this morning and banged a knuckle.
The volcanic rock I hit must be really dirty.
By the time I got to work I had a NASTY infection going.
More trouble with the mirroring on the 4500, so I rebooted off CD
mounted the filesystem and undid the entire mirroring.
Spent much of the day adding more optional software, and compiling
postgres.
Helped Anton out with his system install on a SUN V-100.
Something just wasnt right with that thing.
I looked at the partition table.
Then I looked at the cylinder groups.
He had multiple partitions referencing the same cylinders.
First time that machine swaps the metadb that controls the mirrors
will be toast. I showed Tom what happened.
We looked at each other.
"Best thing to do is dust off and nuke it from space!"
Poor Anton. I had to explain that there isnt a sysadmin anywhere
who hasnt done that a few times.
