Return to Fisher Plaza
2006-Aug-31, Thursday 23:43I ended up changing out 12 nodes at Applied Discovery, a division of Lexus Nexus today.
We were back up at the Internap Colo at Fisher Plaza again today.
Ive gotten real fast at popping nodes out of the rack even in narrow aisles.
The trick is to balance the node on your head as you push the rack slides back in to get the thing loose.
One you have it on your head you can whip down the aisle in no time.
Then I realized the slides on 1 side were 1 hole off from the others so all the nodes had been racked at an angle.
I had to unbend a few of the slices.
The cabling was a mess so I totally recabled the cabinet. They said it was the best theyd seen that cabinet.
The are out growing the power in their cage and now have extension cords to other cages to borrow power from there.
I nicked a finger at some point and one of the times going through the hand analyzer.
I realized Id bled all over the thing. Ewww!
I went up to R Place for their thursday night strip contest. I was not impressed.
