Halfway point
2005-Mar-15, Tuesday 23:55Today Im halfway through the contract.
I was disappointed to learn that it had been left out of the contract
that I was not supposed to bill for more than 8 hrs a day. Working over
8hrs is cool, billing for more than 8 is not cool. In other words Im
gonna eat it for 40 hours on my 1st bill. In the last 15 days I worked
over 130 hrs and they only let me bill 90.
Well Im learning alot and Im gonna get a good reference outta Tom so
Ill put up with it. Im gonna be more of a clock puncher from now on though.
I found out why vim is broken on the machines. I traced it ti the gtk
upgrade from 1 to 2. When I went back and changed them back to gtk1
vim was repaired again.
Hurricane electric in Fremon only allows 15 amp per rack and sends you nasty
grams for sustained current draws of 80% of 15 amps. We are outta compliance
in the rack in row 12. Were drawing 13.5 for the server and 2 RAID trays.
Ugh!
