texxgadgetWe went up to the co-lo at Fisher Plaza to change out a static memory card.
Internap has an entire floor at Fisher plaza. Its a huge office building across from Space Needle.
Its also the prettiest Co-lo I ever saw.
They issued us each a temp badge and coded it with a hand scanner.
You place your hand on the plate and and drag it over the plate against all these pegs that rub on your fingers.
It senses the biometrics of your hand to verify that you are the person the temp badge was issued to.
The IBM tech we were with needed help getting the node out of the rack.
The walk way was too narrow but I figured out how tro telescope the slide back in before it came out too far.
The IBM tech couldnt figure out how to get the riser card out of the chassis, but just looking at it, I was
able to figure out what screws to pull.
I was shocked to see IBM so flummoxed.
