The road home

The trip home
====== ======
Mike & I woke up, showered etc and brought our gear down to the lobby of the
hotel.
Mike got a lift to the rail station from another group from the ride.
I hooked up with Dan & we packed the car he was driving. We popped out to
Starbucks for coffee and met more ALC folks hanging out there.
Once on the road, Dan mentioned that he wanted to hit Solvang for lunch.
I asked if it was OK to stick our heads in at Ventura Beach to say a last
"bye" to the staff.
We lost our "download lot" in hollywood so all the trucks were going back up
to the beach parking lot to be sorted. As it turned out,
this was lucky because Dan had left something on a gear truck and we managed to recover it from there.
Paula's Pancakes in Solvang was a great lunch.
We chatted about many things such as the ride, both us working in IT, and of course music.
Dan suggested I look into trying to get some work with the Govt.
I would later find this ironic.
