texxgadgetForgive me Livejournal, its been 4 months since I posted last.
The Grand Central Starport moved to Seattle last month.
Im required to pay towards a dumpster at my workshop but never use it.
I saved Steve the cost of one by routing some trash to my dumpster.
Some other stuff looked useful, so I stashed it at my workshop.
Ive almost finished cleaning up the back for them.
The new tenants have also sent some stuff my way.
Ive also got a large pile headed for the Computer History Museum ( http://computerhistory.org )
as soon as I get it cleaned up.
In the middle of helping them prep for the move, the 3 month contract that I was on, hit 19 months and they dint really need me anymore. Im grateful for it anyway.
I learned a lot and it came at a good time for me.
The next job went about 2 months.
It might have gone longer if my project manager hadnt died on me.
My new gig is at a wonderful purple place that reminds me a lot of my old days at SGI.
I get breakfast, hit up the Barista and then head for cube city.
Mid afternoon brings lunch and another trip to the Barista.
I need to start hitting the gym as Im gaining weight again.
Im recognizing a number of faces I know from professional circles and a few from fandom.
Pagataur42 and I were at a beer bash and recognized datawolf and surprised her when we
practically frog marched her over to our table.
Its been a busy summer.
We put a new rolled roof on the radio club clubhouse, Ive done a couple of events such as
the Miwok100km, Grizzly Peak Century, Marin Double Century, Holstein Hundred and more.
The bee hive project is on hold and Im preparing for the Pleasanton Scottish Games this weekend.
Older neice graduated in Anthropology from UCSC.
I gave her a gear bag for her tools for when she goes off to tomb raid.
Im gearing up for Dickens Faire this winter.
