We are pretty much done with Sullys place (Sharons dad) for the season.
I really wish wed been able to pull one more day or better a weekend to really button things up properly.
Last weekend was Stakeout for Renfaire.
Weather wasnt too hot, in fact chilly early morning and evening.
Ive had my final haircut of the year and final shave.
From now to new years, it goes wild.
By the end of Dickens, Ill resemble a skinny Santa.
I should be there for Orientation weekend this weekend, but the car died enroute,
so last night got it towed to mechanic and as of this afternoon, its not looking good.
It really is time to replace it. Over a million miles on the chassis and 5 drivetrains.
I dont have time to shop not the money or credit rating to replace it so I guess Im going for a 6th engine.
ERGH.
Its looking like the current project is going to get extended, so Im optimistic.
Despite the engine transplant, its looking like Im still on the climb up out of debt.
Whats helping is that Im starting to move storage out of Santa Clara where its been since I closed the apt there in 2002.
Im getting things consolidated in the place in San Leandro that doesnt go up every 6 months.
Once consolidated, Ill be better able to start weeding things out and further cut costs.
A few years back, I had a deal to buy a building, but it turns out the guy was scamming me.
Hed already entered a deal with someone else, but he was having fun yanking me around.
Meanwhile, Ive had 2 nearly year long job outages that depleted resources and Im in hock to my ears.
On the political front, Ive had some time to think.
My Dad & I are lifelong Republicans, Dad being a from an Orange County banking family.
Mitch Mc Connell (Moscow Mitch) said something recently that my Dad found it so insulting hes about to change parties.
He asked me why I didnt change.
I told him that if I was a Democrat and criticized the Republicans, no one would listen.
Being a Rupublican critical of my own party gets me far more cred.
I also realize that Im one of the REAL Republicans.
I believe that clean air and clean water are NATIONAL SECURITY issues.
I note that the Pentagon now considers healcare a netional security issue.
Who would have thought?
The passing of Charles Koch made me think.
For a long time, people have been talking about getting a Libertarian to run for office.
There has also been talk of running a real businessman who would run the US like a business.
Well we have a chance to watch a businessman running the country and its not looking good.
All we knew about the Libertarians were that they wanted to legalize drugs and the ran Howard Stern for Governor.
We also considered the Libertarians unelectrable.
I realized that this was wrong.
I realized what the Libertarians were REALLY about.
Its about slashing the government to its absolute minimum.
Ive been saying that the people calling themselves were not real Republicans and definitely not conservatives.
Conservatives dont rip up treaties. Conservatives dont change things.
I thought for a while that we had radical right wingers playing as Republicans.
With the death of Charles Koch, I realized this was wrong.
The Libertarians ARE in power in DC and these right wing radicals are pretending to be Republicans to get elected, but in reality, the Libertarians are actually in charge.
This came as a shock to realize.
Unfortunately, the Democrats are about to repeat the 2016 mistakes and hand the Whitehouse back to Trump.
Brace yourselves, we have at least 4 more years of this bozo and maybe more if he makes himself president for life.
He admires dictators because they can get things done with little opposition.
His best buds are dictators.
Hes furious he cant be a dictator here.
Its pretty obvious that hes trying to figure out how to make himself the dictator of US.
